Questions buyers and sellers should ask
What is DevXchange?
A developer-first marketplace for production-ready software and source code.
Does a verification badge guarantee security?
No. It represents recorded checks at a specific level and version. It is not a security warranty.
Are marketplace payments real?
Yes when configured. The order becomes paid only after a payment-provider webhook is verified. If providers are not configured, checkout says so.
Can sellers list unfinished code?
A seller can save a draft, but published marketplace products are subject to the review process and must describe limitations honestly.
Can I redistribute purchased source code?
Not by default. The product license defines permitted and forbidden use.
How are downloads protected?
A paid license is associated with the buyer and a signed, expiring download flow is issued by a privileged Edge Function.
Why can the marketplace be empty?
Because the catalog should reflect real approved products rather than invented demo inventory.
